About Us
When COVID hit in March of 2020, we saw our world change in ways we never imagined possible. In a moment, we were isolated from each other unable to go to work, get together in social gatherings, visit friends and family members, or go to church. We were all left scrambling to find new ways to make the daily events of our lives happen. During that time the Lord began to show us that without the normal routines of life, our connections could disappear. With that, He also began to show us the need to make connections in ways we had not thought of before. Ekklesia is born out of our understanding that the Body of Christ needs each other and we need to serve others together. What began to grow in us was an understanding that teaching needed to be made available and accessible to those around us as well as ministering by the Bodytothe Body needed to occur. To that end, we began to find ways to connect and help grow those around us in the ways God had made available to us.
As we continue down this path that God is unfolding in front of, we have learned that unity of the Body of Christ is essential and sacred to our growth as disciples and to the advancement of the Kingdom of God in our world. At Ekklesia, we are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the growth of the Body of Christ through uniting with other believers and with those who are in need in communities. To that end we are committed to the growth through teaching of the Word of God, ministering through worship and praise, and serving others as the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are in need as God shines His light of love on their needs. We pray as Jesus prayed in John 17 that we all may be “as one” just as He and the Father are one “so that the world may believe” in Christ for salvation.
